Introduction

Do you like getting a little muddy? If you do, then the annual High Country Mud Run may be exactly what you’re looking for. Each year, the High Country Fairgrounds plays host to the run, which features more than three miles of muddy terrain, climbing obstacles, rivers, mud pits and much more to challenge even the most seasoned of mud run veterans. This year’s mud run takes place on Saturday, September 12, 2015.

About

The 2015 Mountaineer Mud Run will be the third annual mud run. Once again this year's run is expected to draw a crowd to its muddier, crazier obstacle course this year in Boone, North Carolina. The best part of The Mountaineer Mud Run is getting dirty.

Giving Back

But this event isn’t all about the run. The mountaineer mud run gives back a portion of registration proceeds to a nonprofit organization, this year benefiting the Watauga Kiwanis Club.

What to Wear

Participants are recommended to wear old, comfortable clothes that will help protect from cuts and bruises. It is also suggested that participants stay away from thick cotton materials that will absorb water and add weight during an already challenging run. Athletes are advised to wear shoes with lots of traction to help get you through the mud, and keep in mind that the most creative costume will receive a prize!

Registration Information

Early Registration Discounts are available if you purchase your $40.00 tickets on or before August 26, 2015 for $40.00; as of August 27, 2015 all ticket prices increase by $10.00 up to $50.00. To register, visit www.MountaineerMudRun.com.
